Action Plan for Emailing Statements
If you want your customers to receive Accounts Receivable statements by email, here are some ideas to get the ball rolling.
Use email and announcements to inform customers that they can receive their Accounts Receivable statements via email.
- Conduct a campaign to update customer email addresses. Promote this option and encourage customers to participate.
- Make a plan for customers to inform your office of their correct email address. Decide who will verify current email addresses and enter new email addresses.
- Create a privacy policy, and inform customers of the policy. Assure customers that no one outside of the organization has access to your records. Let them know that no one inside the organization has access to their records except authorized personnel, and make sure your ACS security options reflect this.
- Before you email any statements, conduct a test run to make sure the process is set up correctly. Test each customer's email address after you enter it in ACS.
