Restart the Backup Service
I need to restart the backup service.
Products affected: Scheduled Backups
Versions affected: Any
- Determine each workstation where ACSSERVICE.exe is running.
- In Task Manager, click the Processes tab.
- Click on Name to alphabetically sort the list of executables running. If you see ACSSER~1.exe, then ACSSERVICE.exe is running on the workstation.
- Stop the service on each workstation where ACSSERVICE.exe is running.
- Right-click on This PC, then select Manage.
- Expand Services and Applications, then click Services.
- Right-click on ACS Service and select Stop.
- Delete the existing ACSSERVICE.exe from the X:\ACSNET folder (X represents your network drive) or the C :\WINACS folder (Single).
- Ensure that the service is running.
- Right-click on This PC and select Manage.
- Expand Services and Applications, then click Services.
- If the ACS Service has not started, right-click on ACS Service and select Start.
