Invalid Pointer Operation
This troubleshooting guide addresses the "Invalid pointer operation" error that may occur when printing General Ledger reports such as the Proof List. The guide provides steps to confirm the correct printer and printer defaults, and instructions to exit and log back into ACS. This issue affects any version of the General Ledger product.
When printing the General Ledger reports such as the Proof List, this error displays:
Invalid pointer operation.
Products Affected: General Ledger
Versions Affected: Any
This occurs when the correct printer or defaults are not selected.
- In ACS Financial Suite, click Printer Setup.
- In the drop-down list, select the correct printer, then click OK.
- Exist ACS, then restart and login into the product.
- On the main People or Financial Suite menus, click Printer Setup.
- Select the default options, then click OK.
