Account Belongs to Fund Not Being Closed
When closing the year in General Ledger, this error message displays:
One of the selected closing accounts belongs to a fund other than the fund being closed. If you close accounts to this fund principal account, your chart of accounts may be out of balance.

Versions Affected: Any
A fund shares a General Ledger closing account with another fund. To resolve this error, assign a different fund principal account.
- Under Manage Records, select the Chart of Accounts tab.
- In the drop-down list, select Add/Edit Chart of Accounts and click Go.
- Under Available Lists, select Funds.
- Select the fund and click Edit.
- In the drop-down list, the correct closing account for the fund and click OK.
- Repeat these steps each fund, then click Close.
