Another User is Posting

When posting checks to General Ledger, this error displays:

Another user is currently posting a batch to GL, would you like to retry?

  • Products Affected: General Ledger

  • Versions Affected: Any

First, confirm that no one else within your church or organization is posting checks. If not, reset the posting lock.

When a user is posting to the General Ledger, ACS creates a posting lock file that prevents another user from posting at the same time. After the first user is finished posting, ACS deletes the lock file and the second user can post.

If the posting lock file is not deleted, the utility resets the posting lock file so that the second user can post to the general ledger.

  1. Under Advanced Tools, click on the Admin Utilities tab.
  2. In the drop-down list, select Maintenance Utilities, then click Go.
  3. Click Reset Posting Lock.
