Checking Account Already Exists
This troubleshooting guide provides a solution for the error "This checking account already exists" encountered when adding a checking account in Bank Account Maintenance in Accounts Receivable.
When adding a checking account in Bank Account Maintenance in Accounts Receivable, this error displays:
"This checking account already exists."
Products affected: Accounts Receivable
Versions affected: Any
This occurs due to a blank line in the table awGLIndvAcct.
- Perform a financial backup.
- Log in using your ACS username and password.
- Under Data Options, select Financial Data Backup.
- Optional: Under Additional Options, select Verify Backup.
- Under Configuration, note the Backup Destination Directory. To change the location, click Lookup.
- Click Backup.
- In the Select Datasets window, clear any datasets you do not want to back up, then click OK.
