SSL/TLS Trust Issue on Facility Scheduler Login

This troubleshooting guide addresses the SSL/TLS trust issue encountered during Facility Scheduler login and provides steps to import the necessary security certificates in Internet Explorer.

When installing Facility Scheduler, this error displays:

"System.Net.WebException: The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish Trust Relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel."

To resolve this issue, download and import the security certificates in Internet Explorer on the affected server.

  1. Download the GeoTrust CA.p7b certificate.
  2. On the affected server, in Internet Explorer, open Tools > Internet Options > Content.
  3. Click Certificates.
  4. In the Certificates window, click on the Trust Root Certification Authorities tab, then click Import.
  5. When the Certificate Import Wizard displays, click Next.
  6. Under File to Import, click Browse.
  7. Navigate to the GeoTrust CA.p7b certificate on the server, then click Next.
  8. Select Place all certs in the following store, then click Browse.
  9. In the select Certificate Store window, select Trust Root Certification Authorities, then click OK.
  10. Click Next, then Finish. If prompted, click Yes to install the root certificate.
  1. Download the RapidSSL CA.p7b certificate.
  2. On the affected server, in Internet Explorer, open Tools > Internet Options > Content.
  3. Click Certificates.
  4. In the Certificates window, click on the Intermediate Certification Authorities tab, then click Import.
  5. When the Certificate Import Wizard displays, click Next.
  6. Under File to Import, click Browse.
  7. Navigate to the RapidSSL CA.p7b certificate on the server, then click Next.
  8. Select Place all certs in the following store, then click Browse.
  9. In the select Certificate Store window, select Intermediate Root Certification Authorities, then click OK.
  10. Click Next, then Finish.
