Contributor Labels

Standardize the names you use on your giving statements. Are they Jim and Pat or James and Patricia? You decide how formally you want to address contributors on their statements.

In your Profile Settings, edit the name formats that you will use for contribution labels. Most parts of the format are mandatory, but you can enable or disable any that are highlighted in blue. A darker hue indicates that an optional part is in use.

As you create contribution or pledge statements, select which label you want contributors to see on the envelope they receive. Then, select formal or informal salutations for the cover letter to meet your standards.

When giving is shared between two contributors, the label you select will affect both names. For example, "Jim & Pat Aaron" would be their informal label while "Mr. & Mrs. James Aaron" would be formal.
