Edit Group Members

Edit a group member's information.

An administrator, group leader, or user with permission to update groups can edit some information about a group member.

Edit Group Members for Administrators

Edit a group member as an administrator.

  1. Locate the group and open its record.
  2. On the group's main page, click the Participants tab.
  3. Click the ellipsis icon next to a record, and select Edit.
  4. Make your changes to the group member's information, then click Save.

Add or Edit Group Participants

Add someone to your group roster, or update a participant's type and attributes.

  • You must be a group leader or have been granted permissions to manage groups.
  • If you do not see these options and believe that you should, contact your church administrator to grant you the Manage group/pathway permissions.
In addition to keeping your participant list up-to-date, you can update participant type to correctly show if someone is a member or guest or other type your church has set up. You can also select from a list of attributes connected to this group or ministry area. Attributes might be short descriptions such as "host", "prayer leader", "social coordinator", or any of the attributes your organization has set up.
  1. In the top-left corner, click your site name then Connect. Then click Groups.
  2. Click the name of the group.
  3. Click the Participants tab, then click Manage Participants.
  4. To add a member, click + Add Person, enter their name in the text box, and click Add.
  5. To edit a member, click the ellipsis icon then select Edit. Make any necessary changes, then click Save.
