Change a Batch's Cash Account

CAUTION: This process alters data. We recommend backing up your data before proceeding.
  • Only an administrator or someone with access can complete this process. Admins, if needed, you can allow other PDS users to access the process by assigning program access to Change Cash Account under the Processes program area.

If you accidentally selected the wrong cash account when posting a batch, there's a process to help you! You can change the cash account for a batch that's in the current month or later.

  1. On the File menu in your PDS program, click System Processes > Change Cash Account.
  2. When the process opens, you'll see a list of batches in the current month or later.
  3. In the grid, click the batch you want to update.
  4. At the bottom of the window, you'll see the current cash account for the batch.
  5. In the New Cash Account drop-down list, select the correct cash account to use for the batch.
  6. To change the batch, click Begin Process.
  7. A message lets you know how many transactions in the batch will be changed. Click Yes to make the change.
  8. Click OK when the process is finished.
  9. If needed, repeat these steps for any other batches you want to change.
  10. When you're done, you can close the process.
