Plot Congregants or Other People Types

On the Navigation Bar, when you click Plotting, you can access People Plot and Neighbor Center in the Control Center. Here, you can plot congregants, small groups, or other people types on the map.

Before you can plot people, an agency administrator must upload their records. To access People Upload, click People Upload.

If your agency has other people types such as visitors, outreach contacts, or small group members set up, you can plot those as well. You can select and plot multiple people types, and you can display a legend or show labels on the map.

  1. On the Navigation Bar, click Plotting.
  2. In the Control Center, expand People Plot. Your agency's people types display.
  3. Select the People Types you want to plot. To filter the list, click Filter the list of people types then enter the people type's name. This is helpful if your agency has a lot of people types.
  4. Select to plot All, Some, or None of a type. If you select Some, filtering options display.
  5. In the Legend By drop-down list, select an attribute to use for your legend. Some examples include Member Status, Member By Means, Distance to Church, or Church.
  6. To display names and addresses on map points, select Show Labels. You can show labels for some or all of the People Types you plot.
  7. When finished, click Plot.
The people types and addresses you plotted display on your map.

After plotting people types, you can draw a shape around the "reach" of your church, which is typically 80% of your plot. You can also generate the ComparativeInsite report to profile your church and your community.

To clear your map, click Clear Plots.
