Add a Pledge

Add a pledge for each contributor who wants to support a campaign.

  • You must have the Enter Pledges permission to perform this task. See Responsibilities for more information.

By adding pledges to your campaign, you can track each contributor's pledge progress. Once a congregant has pledged to your campaign, their contribution is added to the campaign total.

  1. In the top-left corner, click your site name then Realm. Then click Giving > Pledge Campaigns.
  2. Click a fund name.
  3. In the Add Pledge tab, enter the name or giving number of the person who made the pledge. As you type, possible matches display.
  4. Complete the remaining fields and click Add.

Set up an Online Gift for a Pledge

Set up an online gift on behalf of someone else, and apply it to their pledge.

If a contributor has trouble giving online, a church administrator can enter gifts on their behalf using a paper authorization form. Contributors may call your office or stop by in person to change their giving information, or add a new gift—but doing so will increase the scope of your church's PCI responsibility.

If you have questions or are unsure about your church's PCI responsibilities, please contact Vanco's Compliance and Risk Management Department at 1-800-675-7430 or riskmgmt@vancopayments.com.
