Explore new conflict detection, enhanced reporting, and event categorization features for improved event management.
Conflict Detection
We’ve made event management smoother with conflict detection. Now, you’ll receive clearer alerts, more accurate conflict info, and a more seamless experience when booking and approving events for spaces and resources.
-
Users can now see conflict alerts directly on the event detail page.
-
Event creators can see when a selected resource or space is booked for any of the requested time of their event.
-
Conflicts show both for pending and approved events to help prevent double bookings.
-
Denied and canceled events do not show as conflicts, keeping your event details clean and relevant.
Improved Reporting & Export Experience
We’ve added two new reports, making it easier to get the info you need in the format you want for staff planning and event setup. For reports exported to a .csv file, the HTML formatting has been from event descriptions, so your data looks clean in spreadsheets.
The Agenda Report — You can generate a PDF or export data to a .csv file format that includes event details (name, date, times, location, contacts, etc.) based on your filters and date ranges. Multi-day events display their full duration. While on the Agenda, set up your date range, locations, and other categories, then click the printer icon .
The Planning Report — Print a monthly, weekly, or daily calendar in a single page, with options for portrait/landscape and preview/download.
Add Event Categories to Events
Event creators can now easily organize events by adding one or more event categories—making it simpler to group, filter, and manage events in Gather. Event categories are optional, and you can add or remove them as needed when creating or editing an event.
-
You can add multiple event categories to any event (not just one!).
-
Removing event categories is just as easy—no more being stuck with the wrong category.
-
If your account doesn't have any event categories defined, the "Event Category" section will stay hidden for a cleaner experience.
-
Users can filter the Agenda and Calendar to view only the events in the desired category. For example, add a category for "youth ministry" so that the youth pastor can filter to see only their events when using the calendar.
