View and Resolve Conflicts in Gather

You can view and resolve space and resource conflicts.

  • You must be an administrator or user with the Manage Events or Approve Events permissions.
If someone requests a space or resource that is already being used by an event in the same time slot, this will create a conflict. You can view events that have conflicts, see what the conflicts are, and resolve them.
Note: After you save changes to an event to resolve a conflict, you will need to refresh the event details page to see these changes applied.
  1. Click Calendar in the main menu.
  2. Click the event's name on the events list. You can search for an event by a specific date from the date drop-down menu. You can also filter the events list by spaces, locations, resources, event category, and status.
  3. If the event has a conflict, a warning will display at the top of the event detail page. You can view more information about the conflict in the spaces or resources section.
  4. To resolve the conflict, click and select Edit. Depending on the type of conflict you can:
    1. Change the event's time.
    2. Change the event's space.
    3. Lower the quantity of the requested resource, or change the requested resource.
  5. Click Save Event to apply the changes.
