  • Only available to group leaders.

  • Only available to team leaders.

Similar to writing an email, you can send an inbox message to everyone in your group or serving team, or just to certain people.

You decide who receives replies when you create the message — start a discussion, or send an announcement with replies turned off. If your group or team has text messaging enabled, you can also customize the text that goes with your message.

Note: You aren't copied on inbox messages you send.
  1. Start the message.
    • From the Inbox. In the top-left corner, click your site name then Connect. Then click Communications > Inbox. Click Compose, then select the group or team you want to message.

    • From the group or team. Open your group or team, then click Send Communication > Compose Your Message.

  2. Optional: If your group or team has fewer than 100 people, you can message specific individuals. Click Message specific people, then click the X button next to anyone you want to remove.
  3. Enter the message subject and body.
  4. Optional: To attach a file, click Attach files, then select the files you want to include.
  5. Optional: If text messaging is enabled and at least one person has opted in, preview the text they'll receive.

To change it, click Customize and enter the message you want to send. To leave the link out, clear Include link in text.

  7. Click Send.
