Linking, Connecting Help, & Resource IDs

Add the Resource ID to a Help Topic in Heretto

A matching resource id must be added to the topic you want to link to.

Use resource IT's to connect a help topic to a software product in context of where the user is in the software. You can also provide URL's with resource id's to create permanent links for other resources to link to.
  1. Use the gear icon in the top right corner to turn on Show Prolog.
  2. Place your cursor somewhere in the prolog and use the "+" icon or keyboard shortcut to insert a new element.
  3. Start typing resource ID.
  4. Select Resource ID from the list to insert. The resource id must be unique.
  5. Enter a unique resource ID. Refer to guidelines for Resource IDs.
  6. Now that so many topics are reused or linked to from other sources, update the Application Name. ???
