Reviewing Content

This article describes how a subject matter expert or copy-editor can open an assignment to review content. The reviewer can highlight content and apply comments, just like Google docs.

An author can send an assignment to one ore more subject matter experts/copy-editors. The assignment can contains one or many articles for review. As each article is reviewed, the assignment updates the articles status (for example from Review to Approved) and moves the assignment to the next step in the workflow.

There are two ways to locate the assignment:

  • The assignment sends a clickable link to your inbox.

  • You can log into the content management system and locate assignments.

  1. Either click on the email in your inbox, or go to https://acstech.easydita.com.
  2. Log in with your google username and password.
  3. If it does not open to the Assignments page, in the lower left corner of the menu, click Assignments.
  4. Click Open(Review).
  5. In the upper, right corner, click Open Assignment.
  6. To add suggestions, click anywhere in the article and begin typing, deleting, etc.
    The editor will display your suggestions with strikeout. The author will accept or reject your suggestions once the assignment is returned.
  7. To add comments, highlight the text you want to annotate. When the comment icon displays nearby, click to add text. (You can also click the Comment icon in the upper menu bar.)

  8. As you review each article, click Mark Completed.
    CAUTION: If you click the blue I'm Done button, the editor marks the entire assignment complete, even if you've only partially reviewed the work.
    The assignment advances to the next topic included in the assignment.
  9. When you've reviewed all of the articles in the assignment, in the upper right corner, click I'm Done.

The assignment updates the status of all of the topics and moves the assignment to the next step in the workflow.
