When attempting to access the People Suite, if you encounter a continuous hour glass and a message indicating the software is not responding, this guide provides a solution. This issue affects all versions of People Suite and Program Access.

While attempting to access the People Suite, you see a continuous hour glass and a message indicating the software is not responding.

To fix the error, remove the .net and .lck files. These files, created by ACS to prevent simultaneous record editing, are usually deleted upon proper program exit. However, they may persist if the workstation becomes unresponsive, the computer is restarted, or ACS is not properly exited. In such cases, manual file deletion is necessary.

  1. Click Delete .Net and .Lck Files.
  2. Click Search, then Delete.
  3. When the confirmation message displays, click Yes.
  4. Click Close.
