Error During Mass E-mail Operations

This troubleshooting guide addresses the DBISam Engine Error 9729, which occurs when a duplicate key is found in the 'awgecont' table during mass email operations. The guide provides steps to resolve this issue, including performing a People Suite backup and repairing corrupt tables.

When sending Mass E-mails, this error displays:

DBISam Engine Error 9729 duplicate key found in the index of table 'awgecont'.

Power surges, network issues, and hardware failure can contribute to data corruption. To resolve this, perform a backup, then repair the corrupt tables in your dataset.

In addition, everyone in your organization must exit ACS.

  1. If using a network or OnDemand version, ssk everyone to sign out of ACS.
  2. Log in using your ACS user name and password.
  3. Under Data Options, select People Data Backup.
  4. Optional: Under Additional Options, select Verify Backup.
  5. Under Configuration, note the Backup Destination Directory. To change the location, click Lookup
  6. Click Backup.
  7. In the Select Datasets window, clear any datasets you do not want to back up. We recommend backing up all datasets in each backup in case your data needs to be repaired. If you include pictures, the backup may be very large.
  8. Click Ok.
  1. Log in using ACS username and password.
  2. Under Data Options, select Financial Data Backup.
  3. Optional: Under Additional Options, select Verify Backup
  4. Under Configuration, note the Backup Destination Directory. To change the location, click Lookup.
  5. Click Backup.
  6. In the Select Datasets window, clear any datasets you do not want to back up, then click OK.
  1. Click Table Maintenance.
  2. Enter your ACS user name and password, then click OK .
  3. Under Tables, select People, Financials or System.
  4. If you use multiple People or Financial datasets,select the appropriate datasets to repair.
  5. Click Repair All Tables. If you need to repair a single table, locate and select the table, then click Repair Table.
  6. If a confirmation message displays, click Yes to continue, then click OK.
  7. At the end of the process, the system displays a list of the repaired tables. To print this list, click File, then Print.
  8. Click Close, then Exit.
