Import File Could not be Loaded
This troubleshooting article addresses why an import file cannot be loaded when importing transactions.
When importing, this error displays:
The import file could not be loaded. Please verify that the file is in CSV format and the proper number of fields are present in each record.
This occurs due to characters such as commas and quotation marks in the file.
- Be sure the import is mapped correctly, even if the client insists they have successfully imported with the same mapping.
- Check the file for commas in ANY field.
- Check the file for hard returns, especially in explanation and comment fields.
- Check the file for single quotation marks.
