Copy Events

Copying events is helpful if you have similar events that occur frequently, but not always on a set schedule.

You may have music rehearsals on Tuesday nights, but with occasional Saturday morning rehearsals as concerts and performances approach. All rehearsals occur at the same location and require the same equipment.

You can copy the event for Tuesday's rehearsal and edit it to schedule it for Saturday. To save time, copy the most recent rehearsal event and change the information you need, such as the date and time.

Only those with the rights to edit an event can copy it. When you copy an event, all of the event information is duplicated.

After copying, the event opens in edit mode so you can update the event's details. ACS Facility Scheduler does not send e-mail notifications until you've saved the copied event.

When you copy an event, the copied event is unpublished (even if you copied a published event). You must manually publish the copied event. All copied events have a pending status until they have been approved and confirmed.

  1. On the Calendar tab, click Calendar.
  2. Select the event you want to copy.
  3. In the Actions group, click Copy Event. The new event displays as Copy of Event Name on the same date as the original event.
  4. Edit the event with your changes.
  5. Click Save & Close.
