Integration Setup
An admin can complete this one-time initial setup with Twilio to enable text messages from PDS.
- You must have an account with Twilio to configure this integration.
- Make sure you've completed the milestones for the Twilio onboarding process.
- Add your Twilio account information to PDS.
- On the File menu in your PDS program, click . Click the Text Message Provider / Carrier Setup tab.
- Select the option to Use Texting Company for All Providers / Carrier Above or Phone Descriptions of Text.
- For Texting Company, select Twilio.
- Enter your Twilio Account SID. You can find this on your Twilio dashboard under Account Info or on your account under API Keys & Tokens.
- Enter your Twilio Auth Token. You can find this on your Twilio dashboard under Account Info or on your account under API Keys & Tokens.
- For From Phone, enter the phone number used to send SMS messages. This is the number that all automated texts will come from.
- Click Save.
- Once you've entered your account information, click Test Texting.
- If needed, make sure your PDS users have access to texting.
- On the Administration tab, click .
- Add a new user record or open an existing one.
- For the Email/Text Message Program Level and any relevant levels under it, select All access if this user should be able to send text messages from PDS.
- At the top, click Save.
