Shared Giving

The head and spouse in a family can share a giving record. When shared, all contributions display on both records, and the individuals will receive a shared giving statement. When you add a head and spouse record to the same family, they automatically have a shared giving record.

On the Giving tab, the "shared with" information displays under the Giving Number section. For example, if Jack and Gwen Allen are shared givers, then "Shared with Gwen Allen" displays on Jack's record and vice versa.

You can add or edit someone's giving number (also known as an envelope number). Click the more options icon the ellipsis icon beside it, and click Edit. Enter a number or click Next Number to insert the next available giving number. You can assign the same number to the head and spouse. If you assign different numbers to the head and spouse, their giving records will be separate. If the couple does not have a number, the word "None" displays.

You can also indicate whether to share the giving number with the spouse using the Shared with (Name) checkbox. If you want to stop sharing the giving number at any time, clear the checkbox.
