Enable Passkey for Two-Step Verification

Enable two-step verification using a passkey on your device.

You can protect your account by using a passkey as a second form of verification when you sign in. A passkey uses your mobile device's built-in security — such as fingerprint, face recognition, or a screen lock — to verify your identity.
See more information on why two-step verification is important.
Note: If an individual enables two-step verification for their account, an administrator cannot disable this setting. If an individual cannot access their account due to two-step verification, they can use a recovery code to sign in and disable this setting. If the individual has lost the recovery codes, they will need to contact support for assistance with disabling two-step verification.
  1. Click your name in the upper-right corner, and select My Account. Enter your sign in information for security purposes.
  2. Enable the setting Two-step verification is currently OFF. Click Continue to confirm.
  3. Click Passkey.
  4. Follow the prompts on your device to register your passkey. Depending on your device, this may involve using your fingerprint, face recognition, or screen lock.
  5. Save the list of recovery codes somewhere safe but accessible. You can use these codes to sign in to your account if you lose access to your second form of verification.
  6. Click Confirm.
The next time you sign in, you'll have the option to use your passkey (such as face identication) on your mobile device.
