11.3H Release

If you're part of the Preferred Client Program, you can download the latest desktop version in the Client Portal.

PDS Facility Scheduler 11.3H, releasing for desktop 11-10-26 and OnDemand 11-12-26, offers the following enhancements.

New and Improved Features

Delete Existing Facilities
  • You can now delete a facility, even if it's in a group, has sub groups, or has events scheduled. There's a new process under Facilities > Processes.

  • When you select a facility to delete, you can see how many prior and future events are scheduled for it, how many sub groups it has, and how many prior and future events are scheduled for its sub groups. You can choose whether to delete the events or move them to a different facility.

    • If you delete the events, you can then decide what happens to the charges and payments for events from the organization.
    • If you move the events to a different facility, you can then decide what happens if there are conflicts.

  • You'll see a recap of what will be deleted before you finish the process.

  • For full details and steps on how to do this, see Delete a Facility.

Send a Preview Email
  • See what your email will look like before you send it to your recipients! You can send a preview to yourself or someone else.
  • When you send an email from the Reports area, once you enter your message and click Start, you'll see a new button for Send Preview Email. Then, enter the email address to send the preview to.

  • The preview email is sent. Once you confirm it looks good, click Back then Begin Sending to send the email(s) to the selected recipients.

Highlighted Navigator Buttons
  • It can be easy to overlook something in your program if you've been using it a short time or a long time. To help both new and experienced users, we highlighted the navigator buttons at the top of the window. These are the buttons you use to search for a record, change the order of records, or scroll through records.

  • If you don't want the navigator buttons to be highlighted, there's an option for that. On the Quick Access toolbar, click the My Settings icon blue outline of computer monitor. On the All Screens tab, you can clear the checkbox for Highlight Navigator Buttons.

Open a File in Its Folder
  • When the program creates a file (like an export report, for example), you can now choose to open the folder where the file is located. From there, you can work with the file and open it in an application of your choice. This makes it easier to find and manage the file on your computer, which is especially useful if you're in OnDemand!

Refresh Your List of Printers
  • We've heard from some customers that their printer isn't showing up when printing a report. That can happen, especially in OnDemand, if the printer is not identified when you first start the program. Now, your list of printers is automatically refreshed when you run reports. This helps PDS find your printer without having to wait!
  • You'll see a new checkbox for Refresh Printer List on the Select Printer window of the report wizard as well as the Print Screen dialog box. It's selected by default, which is recommended, but you can clear the option if you don't want to refresh the list.

Corrections

We fixed issues that were reported internally to our team, as well as the following issues that affected some of our customers:
  • When scheduling overnight or over-24-hour events in group facilities, the events were not including the full time. Now, events are scheduled on the first day from the start time to 11:59 PM and on the last day from 12:01 AM to the end time.
  • There was a problem with saving your report selection if you didn't use the Add button. Now, you can save a "Simple Selection - Never Saved" and rename it on the Selection Information tab, without having to click Add first.
  • Certain text colors for events were not displaying properly on calendars. For example, if you set it to "Orange Text", the event showed on the calendar with an orange background instead.
