Set up a Pledge

Learn how to set up your pledge information and manage recurring gifts.

A pledge is a promise of what you're willing to give toward a campaign and not a gift itself. Read more about what you can do after you've made your pledge. If your church has set up online pledging, you can pledge directly from their website and set up recurring gifts to accompany your pledge.
  1. Sign in to your Connect site.
  2. Click Giving in the main menu.
  3. Click Pledge and enter your pledge information.
  4. Enter the amount you want to pledge per period. Your pledge total displays at the bottom.
  5. Select the frequency at which you want to pledge.
  6. Click Save Pledge.

Can I Remove or Change a Pledge?

Because churches and parishes budget based on pledging, donors must contact their church office to remove a pledge. This article provides further guidance for modifying your pledge amount, frequency, and associated scheduled gifts.

Tip: If you need to remove a pledge or make any changes to your total pledged amount or frequency, contact your church. If you cancel the scheduled gift associated with your pledge, please let your church know this as well, so they can set expectations accordingly.

It's important to know that a pledge is only a promise of what you're willing to give toward a campaign. There's no risk of losing money if you set up a pledge in error.

Your gifts fulfill your pledge and need to be set up separately. You can opt to give as you can or set up a scheduled gift to recur over a set period. Each gift completes a milestone toward pledge fulfillment.

When you give toward a campaign fund, we tell you when your gifts complete your pledge. For scheduled gifts, we also tell you if the end date for your recurrence is off the mark. If you need to change the amount you give for each period, edit your scheduled gift.
