Financial Statements

Drill down to see amount details. Researching financial statement balances is now faster and easier! When you select to Edit and Run a statement report, you'll see a new Drill Down option in the Include section. If you select it, you'll be able to click the Actual and Balance amounts on the generated report to instantly view the detailed General Ledger transactions that make up that amount. This eliminates the need to manually recreate filters or run separate reports when investigating financial activity.

With Drill Down, you can:
  • Click an amount to open the drill down in the current window and view the transaction details.
  • Press Ctrl and click an amount to open the details in a new browser tab. This is useful if you're investigating multiple amounts and need to jump back to the report.
  • Preserve the report context, including applicable date ranges, report options, and supported segment information.
  • Quickly investigate balances without leaving your financial reporting workflow.
Drill Down is available on:
  • Statement of Activities
  • Statement of Activities by Restriction
  • Statement of Financial Position
  • Summary of Restricted Net Assets (when you don't include associated accounts)
  • Trial Balance
  • Statement of Cash Flows (Detail version)
Note: Sharing the report? If you plan to share a report outside your Accounting team, you may not want to include the Drill Down option since transaction details are only available to users with the appropriate Accounting permissions.
