Review W-3 Details

Review and confirm the Kind of Payer, Kind of Employer, and other EIN used this year (if applicable) on your W-3.

  1. In the top-left corner, click your site name then Accounting. Then click Period End > Tax Forms.
  2. On the Tax Forms tab, click Prepare Forms beside W-3.
    Note: If you've already prepared forms, click Edit Data instead.
  3. Confirm the default Kind of Payer and Kind of Employer are correct. If you're unsure, visit the official IRS website for more information.
  4. Click Save.

Print a W-3

Print your W-3 transmittal to file with employee W-2s for the Social Security Administration.

  • You must have accounting administrator permissions to perform this task. See Accounting Roles and Permissions for more information.
  • Make sure all text is properly aligned with your W-3 boxes, and place your W-3 tax forms into your printer's tray.
  1. In the top-left corner, click your site name then Accounting. Then click Period End > Tax Forms.
  2. On the Tax Forms tab, select the reporting year.
    Important: If you have a combined total of at least 10 forms across your W-2s, 1099s, and 1095s, you must e-file them to meet the IRS's threshold requirement.
  3. Click the printer icon beside W-3. A preview of your W-3 displays.
  4. Click the printer icon for a physical copy or Download for a PDF.
