Registration Events
Associate registration events with ministry areas and groups. When you create a registration event, you can now associate it with a ministry area or group, allowing group members to register for the event.
When you associate a registration event with a group, you will see that group listed under the event's name on the registration events list.
Add registration events to custom calendars. If you've set up custom calendars, you can share a registration event to one or more calendars when creating the event.
If you associate the event with a ministry area or group that is a part of one or more calendars, the event will automatically be added to these calendars. You will see the calendar names in an info box below the Add to Calendar(s) drop-down menu. If you select additional calendars from the list, they will also display in the info box.
Share a public registration event to the newsfeed. When you create a new public registration event, you now share the event to the newsfeed after you save the event.
You can share the event immediately, or share on a future date. If you share immediately, you can turn off notifications. If you share on a future date, this will automatically send notifications.
Remove registration events from the newsfeed. You can now remove a public registration event from the newsfeed in several ways.
If you cancel an upcoming event from the non-Connect registration events list, this will automatically remove the event from the newsfeed as well.
You can go to the upcoming events list, click and select Share to remove an event from the newsfeed.
- You can go to the past events list, click and select Remove from newsfeed.
See recurring events dates that have marked attendance. When you edit a registration event, recurring custom dates that already have marked attendance can't be deleted. These events now appear grayed out with a notification icon that states why you can't delete the event date.
Group Events
Associate a group with registration events. When you create a new group event, you can now choose between creating a group meeting or a registration event.
If you select Registration Event, you will create a registration event that already has your group associated with the registration event for you.
Add group events to custom calendars. If you've set up custom calendars, you can add a group event to one or more calendars when creating the event.
If the group is already associated with one or more custom calendars, the event will automatically be added to these calendars. You will see the calendar names in an info box below the Add to Calendar(s) drop-down menu. If you select additional calendars from the list, they will also display in the info box.
