Giving Number Settings

Rename and Enable Giving Numbers

Relabel and enable giving numbers that you can assign to your contributors.

Giving numbers are enabled by default. If they already display on your list of available profile fields, you can either enter a new label for them (e.g. Envelope Number) or disregard these steps.
Important: If you've assigned envelope numbers in MinistryPlatform, it's not necessary to enable giving numbers here.
  1. In the top-left corner, click your site name then Giving. Then click Main Menu > Profiles > Settings.
  2. On the Profile Fields tab, click Disabled.
  3. Locate Giving Number or the label you've applied to it.
  4. Click the More Options ellipsis, and select Edit.
  5. Optional: To rename Giving Number to something else, enter a new Label (e.g. Envelope Number).
  6. Optional: If you want to enable giving numbers, select Yes.
    With giving numbers enabled, you can assign them to contributors from their profiles and edit the giving number sequence in Giving Settings.
  7. Click Save.
