Federal and State Tax Updates

We've updated Federal Tax tables to version 25.01.08.

Many states had tax table changes. We've updated state tax tables for Arkansas, California, Hawaii, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Carolina, Rhode Island, South Carolina, and West Virginia.

Year-End Tax Forms

Our team has updated the year-end tax forms and tested them to make sure everything prints and submits properly. You can also view the Year-End Guide to learn more about year-end procedures.

Iowa Tax Table Changes

When selecting state and local payroll tax tables for Iowa, you now have three tax codes instead of the 160 IA - All bracket. The three codes are:

• 160 IA - Single/Married With Spouse Working/Other

• 212 IA - Married With Spouse not Working/Qualified Surviving Spouse

• 213 IA - Head of Household

By default, all employees have the 160 code after you load the update. After the last 2024 paycheck and before the first 2025 check, you must select the 212 or 213 tax codes for Married with spouse not working/Qualified surviving spouse and Head of Household employees.

To do this, navigate to the employee's record, then click the Taxes tab. You can then select the correct code in the State field.

Formal and Informal Name Options on Reports

You can now select to display Formal or Informal names on Contributions Lists, Statement and Extract reports. The names that display are found in View/Edit Individual on the individual's profile.

For Statistics reports, we've updated the Pledge to Date Status by Individual, Pledge/Gift Comparison, Projected Pledge Income - Monthly, and Summary Gift Totals By Individual reports. These are the only Statistics reports that display names.

Preferred Phone and Email on Labels

When printing labels in ACS People Suite, you can now include the Preferred Phone and Email fields.

Vanco Bank Report displays Gift Dates

The Vanco Bank Report now displays a column for Gift Date. This lets you reconcile your online giving with Vanco's reports. You can group by deposit date or alphabetically.

Bookkeeping Export for ACST Bookkeeping Clients

This export is inside Accounts Payable, in the Print/Post Checks area.

Updated Help Procedures

We've updated some help content to make it easier to access.

You can now view the procedures for General Ledger import and bank reconciliation, emailing Plain Paper Statements in both Contributions and Accounts Receivable, Payroll employee self service, and sending mass emails.

Corrections

We corrected the following issues that some clients experienced:

• When opening Add/Edit Vendors in ACS Financial Suite, List Index out of bounds (8) displayed.

• When a financial administrator entered and posted a non-regular gift, then voided this gift and reposted as a regular gift, the contributor's name displayed on the Plain Paper Statement.
