E-Filing Threshold
The IRS has updated their e-filing requirements. If you have a combined total of at least 10 forms across your W-2s, 1099s, and 1095s, you must e-file them to meet the IRS's threshold requirement.
Your e-filing options include
Tax E-file: Use our built-in tax e-file service to file your forms all in one place with our trusted partner, Nelco. You can file Federal, state, recipient mail, ACA, and 941 forms, and you can also review statuses and previous years' forms.
1099 and W-2 Extracts: You can export your 1099 and W-2 information from ACS, then import those files into the Internal Revenue Service's Information Returns Intake System (IRIS). To do this, you will need to set up an account for each system separately and allow up to 45 days to apply for a Transmission Control Code that lets you e-file your forms.
To read more about electronic filing options, see E-File Tax Forms for 2023 and Beyond.
Export CSV for Form 1099
To help you comply with the new e-filing threshold, we've added an option to export Form 1099.
After you export this form from Accounts Payable, you can import it into IRIS electronically and do not have to make any changes.
Employee Retention Credit (ERC)
If you continued paying employees during the COVID-19 pandemic, we invite you to take advantage of the Federal Government's ERC program by partnering with James B. Jordan CPA, LLC or a CPA of your choice.
Corrections
- In the Census Report, the Total Percent and Total columns did not use the same logic. The Total Percent column excluded records where gender was blank.
- When an employee had two local taxes, the total wages did not display correctly on Form W-3.
- When sorting by Member ID in People Reports, "tblpeindv: Field 'MembrID' not found" displayed.
