View and Manage Role Requests

Manage role requests sent to a serving team by potential volunteers.

Permissions Required

Only available to administrators and users who have the Add/Edit/Delete Volunteers permission.

When a volunteer expresses interest in joining a serving team, this creates a role request. You can accept or dismiss the role request from the team's page.
  1. Click Admin > Volunteer > Serving Teams.
  2. Click the name of the serving team.
  3. In the Role Requests section of the Overview tab, click the ellipsis iconnext to the name of the volunteer.
  4. Manage the role request:
    • Select Accept Request, choose which roles to add the volunteer to the team as, then click Add. If the role has requirements, select the roles the volunteer meets requirements for and click Approve. Otherwise, click Keep as Pending.

    • Select Dismiss Request to dismiss the role request. Enter an optional message to the volunteer about why you dismissed the request and click Send. If you don't want to send a message, click Don't notify instead.
