Edit a Volunteer's Preferences

Change the serving preferences for a volunteer.

You can edit a volunteer's serving preferences. This includes how often they can volunteer, if they want to volunteer with family members and when they're unavailable.

Edit a Volunteer's Preferences for Administrators

Change the serving preferences for a volunteer as an administrator.

Permissions Required

Only available to administrators and users who have the Manage Volunteer Teams/Serving Roles permission.

  1. Locate the volunteer's Realm profile, then click the Serving Teams tab.
  2. Click Edit Preferences.
  3. Make the changes to the preferences. You can update how often they volunteer and what days they're available.
  4. If you need to add a new unavailable date, click +Add date and enter the date or date range.
  5. Click Save.

    Update Preferences in Other Locations

    • You can update a volunteer's preferences from a roles page. Click the ellipsis icon next to the name of the volunteer you want to edit, and select Edit Preferences.
    • You can update a volunteer's preferences from the roster page of any team. Click the ellipsis icon next to the name of the volunteer you want to edit, select Edit Roles/Preferences then click the Preferences tab.

Edit a Volunteer's Preferences for Leaders

Change the serving preferences for a volunteer as a leader.

Permissions Required

Only available to team leaders with the Edit profiles of volunteers on their teams permission.

  1. Click Community > Serving.
  2. Click the team's name.
  3. Click View/Manage Roster.
  4. Click the ellipsis icon next to the name of the volunteer, then select Edit Preferences.
  5. Update the volunteer's preferences, then click Save.
