Edit a Schedule

Make changes to a schedule.

You can make changes to a schedule's name, dates, and add serving times. You can also review and update assigned volunteers. If you change a schedule's date range or serving time, and volunteers are already assigned on those dates, you will get a prompt that allows you to notify the volunteers of the changes.

The serving team schedule displays in alphabetical order by serving time/event. Roles within the serving time/event also display alphabetically.

Edit a Schedule for Administrators

Make changes to a schedule as an administrator.

Permissions Required

Only available to administrators and users who have the Manage Schedules permission.

  1. In the top-left corner, click your ministry hub then Realm. Then click Volunteers > Serving Teams.
  2. Click the name of the team, then click the Schedules tab.
  3. Click the ellipsis icon next to the name of the schedule, then select Edit.
  4. On the Schedule Settings tab, make your changes. Any information you edit is automatically saved.
  5. If you need to update assignments, click Assignments. Here you can add or remove volunteers from the schedule.
  6. Click Done.

    Editing the Date or Time of an Event

    If a serving time is created based off an existing event, and the date or time of the event changes, these changes will not automatically update the schedule. The team leader and individual who created the schedule will receive a notification about the changes made to the event and they can then choose to update the schedule if needed.

Edit a Schedule as a Leader

Make changes to a schedule as a leader.

Permissions Required

Only available to team leaders who have the Manage team schedules permission.

  1. In the top-left corner, click your ministry hub then Connect. Then click Serving.
  2. Click the team's name to view the leader dashboard for that team.
  3. In the Volunteer Scheduling section, click Manage volunteer schedules in detail.
  4. Click the ellipsis icon next to the name of the schedule, then select Edit.
  5. On the Schedule Settings tab, make your changes. Here you can change the name of the schedule, add serving times, modify the schedule date and enable or disable other schedule settings. Any information you change is automatically saved.
