Manage Notes

Add a Note

Attach a note to a profile.

You'll need the Manage Notes permission among your responsibilities. To add private notes, you'll need the Manage Private Notes permission.
  1. Sign in as an administrator or user with the appropriate permission.
  2. Locate and open the record you want to add a note to.
  3. Click the Notes tab.
  4. Click Add Note or Add Private Note.
  5. Enter your comments in the text box.
  6. Click Save.

Edit a Note

With the appropriate permissions, you can edit profile notes.

You'll need the Manage Notes permission among your responsibilities. To edit a private note, you must either be its creator or an administrator.
  1. Sign in as an administrator or user with the appropriate permission.
  2. Locate and open the record you want to edit a note for.
  3. Click the Notes tab.
  4. Next to an existing note, click the ellipsis icon and Edit.
  5. Make any necessary changes, then click Save.

Delete a Note

If you have permissions, you can delete profile notes.

You'll need the Manage Notes permission among your responsibilities. To delete a private note, you must either be its creator or an administrator.
With the right permissions, you can delete a note that is not private and that you did not originally create. However, private notes on a profile can only be deleted by the person who created the note.
  1. Sign in as an administrator or user with the appropriate permission.
  2. Locate and open the record you want to delete a note from.
  3. Click the Notes tab.
  4. Point to the note you want to delete.
  5. Click the ellipsis icon and Delete.
