Child in Multiple Families becomes Adult

Use this process when someone whose profile has the family position of "child" in multiple families becomes an adult.

  • You'll need the Edit Individual permission.

  1. Locate and open the child's record.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Click Personal Information.
  4. For Family Position, change Child to Other.
A note displays. Upon saving the record, the individual will be linked only with the primary (custodial) family and deleted from all others.

Use this process when someone whose profile has the family position of "child" is removed from one of their families.

  2. On the right side of the page, locate the family you want to remove from the child's record.
