Event Tags

Find events faster.

Assigning tags to events allows users to filter and find events by specific event types.

You must first create the tags for your events, then apply the tags when creating the event. You can always return to edit an event to change the tags or add new ones.

Create an Event Tag

Create a new event tag.

Permissions Required

To create and use event tags, the permission Manage Events must be set to Allow.

By creating an event tag you can filter and find events by type.

  1. In the top-left corner, click your ministry hub then Realm. Then click Registration Events > Settings.
  2. On the Event Tags tab, click Add Tag.
  3. Enter a tag name, such as "Adult" or "Wednesday Night."
  4. Click Save.

Rename an Event Tag

Change the name of an event tag.

Permissions Required

To create and use event tags, the permission Manage Events must be set to Allow.

With event tags, you can filter and find events by type. If needed, you can change the name of an event tag.

  1. In the top-left corner, click your ministry hub then Realm. Then click Registration Events > Settings.
  2. On the Event Tags tab, click to highlight the tag you want to rename.
  3. In the Select an Action drop-down list, click Rename.
  4. Enter the new name.
  5. Click Save.

Combine Event Tags

Combine two or more event tags.

Permissions Required

To create and use event tags, the permission Manage Events must be set to Allow.

You can combine two or more event tags into an existing tag.

  1. In the top-left corner, click your ministry hub then Realm. Then click Registration Events > Settings.
  2. On the Event Tags tab, click to highlight the tags you want to combine.
  3. In the Select an action drop-down list, click Combine similar tags.
  4. Select the tag you want to keep. All others will be deleted, and any events using them will now display the combined tag.
  5. Click Combine.

    Combining Other Tags

    While combining tags, click the Combine another tag drop-down menu to select any other tags you want to include in the combination.

Delete an Event Tag

Delete an event tag you no longer need.

Permissions Required

To create and use event tags, the permission Manage Events must be set to Allow.

You can delete event tags you no longer use.

  1. In the top-left corner, click your ministry hub then Realm. Then click Registration Events > Settings.
  2. On the Event Tags tab, click to highlight the tags you want to delete.
  3. In the Select an Action drop-down list, click Delete and confirm.

Apply a Tag to an Event

Permissions Required

You can apply an event tag to filter and find events by type.

  1. In the top-left corner, click your ministry hub then Realm. Then click Registration Events > Upcoming.
  2. Next to the event, click the ellipsis icon.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. In the Tags drop-down, select the tags you want to apply.
  5. Click Update.

  2. Click the filter icon.
  3. In the Tags drop-down menu, select the tags.
  4. Click Filter.
