Tracking Medical Incidents

You can now add and track medical incidents in HeadMaster. The Medical tab displays in Students, Prospective Students, Staff, and Teachers. From there, you can add medicine or medical incidents.

You can log medical incidents, such as fevers, injuries, or asthma, as well as time spent outside of class in the nurse's office.

If over the counter or prescription medication is administered, you can add the medication, dosage, and frequency to the incident. You can even email parents or guardians an incident report without leaving HeadMaster.

In Reports, the Medical Incident report (under Emergency/Medical) lets you generate a list of medical incidents, which is helpful for tracking illness trends or see how many students miss class during a specific week or month.

To add or track medical incidents, you must have access to the Medical option in User Administration.

To get started, on the Main Menu, click Medical Incidents.

Correction

HeadMaster 11.5.1.23 includes one minor correction:

• When adding or editing an immunization on a student's record, Could not convert variant of type (Null) into type (Olester) displayed unless you added a note or comment.
