Allocation Types

Allocation types are used to identify monies or discounts that did not process through online giving, but which need to be assigned to a participant.

Allocation types can include:

  • Cash
  • Checks
  • Member discounts
  • Scholarships
  • and more.

Create an Allocation Type

Admins can use allocation types to categorize and assign funds.

  • You must be a Go Method admin to do this.
Use allocation types to categorize and assign funds not obtained through online donations. Examples of allocation types are student discounts, staff discounts, or other forms of payment like cash.
  1. Click Admin > Components.
  2. In the left menu, click Allocation Types.
  3. Click CREATE ALLOCATION TYPE.
  4. Enter a name and short description for the allocation.
  5. Select Active .
  6. Once complete, click CREATE ALLOCATION TYPE.

Deactivate an Allocation Type

Allocation types let admins track and assign funds to different events.

  • You must be a Go Method admin to do this.
  1. Click Admin > Components.
  2. In the left menu, click Allocation Types.
  3. Click the allocation type you want to deactivate.
  4. Click Inactive.
  5. Once complete, click SAVE CHANGES.
