Enter General Settings

Establish your organization's general and global settings, such as your phone number format, timezone, and default country, set up two-factor authentication, and optionally generate a global non-disclosure agreement. We'll also set up a customized web address that your participants will use to sign up or make payments.

  • You must be a Go Method administrator to do this.

These settings are applied to your entire Go Method site as well as your public web page.

  1. Click Admin > Settings..
  2. Under General Settings, click Global Settings.
  3. Select your phone number format, default country, and time zone from the respective drop-down lists.
  4. Once complete, click Save.

Your settings are now active.

Next, consider enabling two-factor authentication for added security.

Enable Two-Factor Authentication

Two-factor authentication (aka 2FA) is an extra layer of security for your Go Method site. Passwords alone are not strong enough to guarantee that someone trying to access your site is who they say they are.

  • You must be a Go Method administrator to do this.

You can require Go Method admins to enable two-factor authentication on their accounts. Two-factor authentication is optional for participants. Two-factor authentication requires the software user to enter something they know (username and password) and verify that they are who they say they are by retrieving a code from an email address or text and entering it when prompted.

  1. Click Admin > Settings.
  2. Click Two-Factor Auth.
  3. To the right, click Yes.
  4. Once complete, click Save.

Now that two-factor authentication is enabled, Go Method will send a unique code to the account holder's listed email or phone number each time he or she logs in.

Customize your Go Method Web Address

To help people remember your Go Method public website, select a friendly, personalized web address (aka domain).

  • You must be a Go Method administrator to do this.

If you have an IT staff person or volunteer, reach out for help selecting a unique domain. Try to keep the custom name brief and easy to remember.

  1. Click Admin > Settings.
  2. Click Custom Domain.
  3. Under Domain Name, enter a unique domain name (URL) for Go Method.
  4. Once complete, click Add A Custom Domain.

Once your custom domain is approved, Go Method will verify everything is set up correctly. If your URL is already in use on another site, you may need to repeat this process.
