Edit E-File Account Information

Manage your e-file account information, and enter or change your Nelco password.

  • You must have accounting administrator permissions to perform this task. See Accounting Roles and Permissions for more information.
  • You must have a Nelco account.
  1. In the top-left corner, click your site name then Accounting. Then click Period End > Tax Forms.
  2. Click the E-File Settings tab.
  3. In the section titled Account Information, click the ellipsis icon and select Edit.
  4. Edit the primary contact's first name, last name, and email address.
  5. If you know your Nelco password or have reset it, enter that same password here.
    Note: If you do not know your current password, see Reset Your Nelco Password.

Replace E-File Account Information

Change your e-file credentials to a different person so a different staff member can access Nelco.

  • You must have accounting administrator permissions to perform this task. See Accounting Roles and Permissions for more information.
  • You must have a Nelco account.

When another staff user takes over e-filing duties, you can change the existing e-file account to use their credentials.

  1. In the top-left corner, click your site name then Accounting. Then click Period End > Tax Forms.
  2. Click the E-File Settings tab.
  3. In the section titled Account Information, click the ellipsis icon and select Replace Account.
  4. Enter the new contact's first name, last name, email address, and password for Nelco.
  5. Click Replace Account.
    Note: If you use the same e-file account for multiple Accounting sites, you may see a message that says the new email already has an e-file account. In this case, you'll want to delete the account first, then enter the new information.

You'll see a success message that the account information has been replaced. The new credentials can be used immediately, and the old account credentials will no longer work.
